How metering works

Every successfully-served request increments a per-key, per-day, per-endpoint counter — the billing source of truth. Pro and Enterprise usage flushes to Stripe Billing Meters for usage-based invoicing; keys carry a tier and monthly quota, and over-quota requests return 429 with a Retry-After. The free tier needs no card.
